History
Starfish Software commenced operations in 2003, providing basic website development and technical support to customers.
Since then, programming in Microsoft Visual Basic and MS Office VBA have been added to the skill set, while website development
has branched out to include server-side scripting and database storage, via PHP & MySQL. Advanced Javascript, Flash and AJAX,
along with graphic design skills have been enhanced to provide a more professional level of website design and operation.
New skills are constantly being acquired to provide an even higher level of quality for customers.

Programming Services
Starfish Software provides programming in Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and MS Access & Office VBA.
Programs are designed around core business processes with an emphasis on ease of use. Processing may be distributed in a true
client/server configuration providing the most efficient means possible. Remote processing even allows staff to be working out in
the field, and upon return to the office the data can be synchronised with the main server.
Installation, training, documentation and on-going support options are all available upon delivery of a project.

From registering the domain name to uploading the finished product with options of client control panels for managed content and even a
brief prototype before work commences.

Student Records System
Starfish Software has developed a Student Records System that incorporates a reporting and student profiling system in one neat package.
Designed to be used both on and away from the school network, teachers can conveniently add information to the database at a time
and place that suits them. If they happen to be away from the network, then next time they log on at school all the information they
have entered is synchronised with the main database.
Reports and profiles can be printed at the click of a button, and an overview feature shows the status of each student.
